Cyprus has unique wetlands hosting hundreds of migratory birds a year, offering a transit station in their big journey from north to south and back again each year. The insistance, however for residential development in every corner of the island, and the indifference of the majority towards the great ecological disaster which ensues by non protecting these birds, endangers these wetlands.
